1: It will be the same shape and dimensions as the OEM knob, yet I can have it finished in a multitude of ways. (thinking of having it powdercoated Black, and getting a Z engraved on the top in RED where the shift pattern is on the stock knob) 2: I can have the knob bored out on the inside, filled with lead (heavier the knob, the better it feels IMO), and threaded to an appropriate depth to facilitate a shorter overall height, while not looking anything but stock. 3: I will never need to buy another knob. I will eventually wear it out (at least wear the finish I put on it), but when I do, I can just sand it and refinish it for a brand new knob at a fraction of the price of an OEM knob. BTW: I was quoted $40 to have it made, smoothed, and shipped by a guy I found online. I will make a beleiver out of you baldy :)
